Systems Engineering Process Model

Welcome to the Interactive Process Model. This digital reference provides an interactive environment representing system life-cycle processes. Explore process purposes, drill down into detailed inputs and outputs, and execute direct SQL queries against the underlying architectural dataset.

Navigation & Application Notes

1. Navigating Processes & Views
  1. In the Model Tree on the left, expand Views and select 01 - System Life-Cycle Processes.
  2. Click on any process, activity, or artefact directly on the diagram to display its formal definition and attributes in the inspector pane.
  3. To inspect the detailed inputs and outputs of a specific process, click the embedded sub-view icon located directly on the process element.
  4. To return to the overarching landscape, select the root overview view from the tree.
2. Searching the Model

Use the built-in search bar located at the top of the Model Tree pane (magnifying glass icon ).

  • Type any keyword, process name, or artefact identifier.
  • The tree automatically filters matched elements across all model layers in real time without requiring manual expansion of folders.
3. Executing SQL Queries

The report runs on an in-memory SQL database (AlaSQL) compiled directly from the model metadata.

  1. Switch to the Query tab in the navigation bar above.
  2. Enter SQL queries against Archi tables (e.g. dataElements, dataProperties, dataRelationships).
  3. For detailed database schemas and syntax examples, consult the Archi Wiki: SQL queries in HTML reports.
4. Feedback & Contact

Feedback, corrections, and functional proposals are actively encouraged:

  • GitHub Issues: Open an issue via the Issues tab for defect reports, diagram inconsistencies, or feature requests.
  • Direct Contact: If you prefer email or have governance inquiries, feel free to reach out directly to the lead architect:

Changelog

Version 1.1
  • Migrated to the updated Archi HTML export engine, introducing integrated real-time search directly inside the Model Tree.
  • Resolved missing input dependency: added the Business requirements business object as a formal input to the Stakeholder Needs and Requirements Definition process.
  • MOP Needs business object title and description fixed.
  • Maintenance strategy business object title and description fixed.
Version 1.0
Initial release (18.04.2023). Complete interactive mapping of ISO/IEC/IEEE 15288:2015 processes, activities, inputs, and outputs.
